Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go [teaching him to seek God’s wisdom and will for his abilities and talents], Even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Praise God. The verse of today is a well known verse but it is one of the verses mostly disobeyed.
Most of the problems we have in our generation today is because most parents have refused to teach their children the way of the Lord.
They allow the children to learn by themselves the way they should go instead of the parents doing so.
Teaching a child the way to go does not only mean taking them to church. It means being a good example to them.
As a parent, your child learns your behaviour faster than any other. They unconsciously do that.
If you are fighting they learn violence and there is nothing you can tell them that stops that.
If you are lying they learn that. If you do not keep to your words they learn not to trust you.
What way do you want you child to go?
Many parents have made their children go through the way of traumas because there is no peace at home.
It is not a matter of the money you have. The money you think you are gathering for your children can not buy them peace and happiness. It might buy luxury.
Domestic violence is every where among the parents, who do not care about what they are teaching their children. But they want these children to automatically become good, responsible and God fearing. Leaders and parents it does not work that way, don’t show them evil and expect them to be good.
Brethren we just want to eradicate the issues of single mothers, rape, divorce, lying tongues with deceit, fornication, adultery and etc, trace their root most of them inherited from their parents, some are even way wild but they pretend to be intact because that is how their parents pretended.
So I conclude by saying if we want to eradicate all these things let’s start from the foundation then at least there will be a generation that fears God.
