Prayer: Calamity Averter

Prayer
Calamity is like the fish net, the fisher man throws it into the water, he expects fishes to be entangled and make preys, and for sure, they do entangled, and the fisher man and the net do not discriminate types and sizes. When once he throws his net into the deep, any fish on the way is entangled and becomes a prey. (Luke 22.31-32).
The devil, for certainty, throws a net of calamities and woes with the aims that humans would be entangled and become victims, and for certainty, his net are in constant catches. (Luke 21:35-36). However, as we are vulnerable to the nets of the devil, there is a way of escape. There is a certain instrument of which the mastery of it proper uses guarantees complete safety from the nets of the devil, that instrument is prayer.

THE CALLOUSNESS OF SATAN
John 10:10, Luke 22:31-32, Genesis 3:1, 4-7, 16-19, 1 King 18:4
The devil is callous, he has the power to seduce, The devil has wisdom because he is very old and has the knowledge of all the attributes of God and man, so he knows how to go about everything. The devil is immeasurably merciless. This is a good example - In Nigeria, Syria, Iraq, the devil has seduce this countries with different groups of terrorist to kidnap children and kill people, tie explosives on their bodies and teach them how to trigger them in the midst of lots of people so that those children are shattered and the lives of other hundreds or thousands. Satan seduces them to scout for innocent human beings, arrest them, rape some, burn some alive, behead some and keep some as sex slaves.
These trends are not only experience by only those three countries mention, some other parts of the world does too, Satan is callousness.

The wickedness of satan is unlimited. His nets are in action twenty four hours, (1 Peter 5:8, John 10:10). He has Lots and lots of evil in stock:- Sickness, Sin, Death, Failure, Insanity, Poverty, Deformity, Misunderstanding, Misfortunes and every level of calamities and many are casualties. There is only one instrument that can avert this untoward callousness, that instrument is prayer, without it and of quality you will be a casualty.

THE CASUALTIES FOR PRAYERLESSNESS
Genesis 34:1-30, Judges 16:1-5, John 18:5, Luke 22:3-6, 48, Matthew 27:3-4, 2 Samuel 11:2, 4-5, 10-12, 13:1-39, 16:20-23
The onslaught of the devil is a calamity unlimited, it is universal and excludes no one, big, small, educated, illiterate, poor or rich. Many devil's casualties in the Bible are (Luke 21:35-36).
 1. Dinah
 2. Sampson
 3. Judas Iscariot
 4. David and House
When you read the history of all these people who failed into the nets of the devil, the discovery is that, they did not pray, those who prayed, either before or when they got into the net were freed or delivered from the net of the devil. Their prayers delivered them from the devil's calamity. Prayer is calamity averter - Esther, Jacob, Israel, Ezekiel, Elijah, Deborah, Nehemiah and a host of others.

CAUTIONS FOR THE SAINTS
Mark 13:33, 37, Romans 13:11-14, 1 Peter 4:7, Mark 14:38, Matthew 26:41, Luke 21:36
Be sober, be vigilant: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walked about, seeking whom he may devour; (1 peter 5:8, Luke 21:35-36). 1 Thessalonians 5:6, Ephesians 6:17-18

GREAT LESSON!
Jesus, if any one fails to learn from Him may likely fall into the nets of the devil and perish - (Mark 1:35-37). But look at verse 36, implies, that they were looking for him because it says, "when they had found Him', the leaders MUST from time to time leave the people, the activities without notice, (because such notification will distract or alter that cause and determination to take leave to pray). Verse 37 further says 'all men seek for thee' Jesus knows that if you are with the people all the time, binding and loosing without withdrawing to go and pray you would become a casuality, another Sampson, Demas, and empty barrel. (Luke 5:16). Watch and pray!.
