1 Peter 4:16. But if anyone suffers [ill-treatment] as a Christian [because of his belief], he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God [because he is considered worthy to suffer] in this name.
Praise God. As a christian, when you are suffering because of your faith, do not be dismayed.
When you suffer because you do not want to sin against God, do not be ashamed.
When you are standing for the truth, do not be ashamed.
Note: Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange is happening to you. Instead, be very glad for these trials make you partner with Christ in His suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing His glory when it is revealed to all the world. If you are insulted because you bear the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you. But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by His name.
Beloved I want you to know it is a privilege to partake in His suffering. I repeat don’t be ashamed.
