Matthew 6:3 But when you give to the poor and do acts of kindness, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing [give in complete secrecy],
Praise God. It is good to give alms to the poor, it is good to be kind but don’t do it with pride.
These days it is very easy to do things publicly even when you are in a secret place. Technology has made it possible, we are now in an era where people wants to showcase everything they do even things that should be done in the secret.
Social media has made it possible.
Everyone wants to be popular and get approval by many people.
When giving to the poor what are you motives.
Are you doing that to gain publicity or you are giving from your heart secretly?
Learn to give to showcase the love of the Lord. that your charitable acts should be done in secret; and your Father who sees [what is done] in secret will reward you.
