Fear God

Job 1:9 Satan replied to the Lord, “Yes, but Job has good reason to fear God.

Praise God. Brethren most of you already know the story of Job. Some of you can say it perfectly as it is written in the Bible and some of you can also draw good insight from it, as a story teller or a script writer will.

But can we take time today and look at it from the practical angle.

There once was a man named Job who lived in the land of Uz. He was blameless, a man of complete integrity. He feared God and stayed away from evil.

First let ask ourselves are we blameless, do we have integrity and do we fear God.

Beloved if we want to be truthful to ourselves some of us are the opposite of all what Job was, not to talk of being like Christ.

Beloved Job had all this in him but he continued to do the needful. “Job would purify his children. He would get up early in the morning and offer a burnt offering for each of them. For Job said to himself, “Perhaps my children have sinned and have cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular practice.

Job did this practice always because he feared God, having strong moral principles and wants to remain blameless.

How many of us as Christ followers are practicing what Christ said we should.

Job loved, feared and kept God’s commandments (John 14:21).

The Lord manifested in Job that he did not curse God as the devil thought “he was faithful and still blameless in God’s sight.

Beloved know God’s word, believe it and practice it as Job did and stop complaining or going to other (idol) gods.

Repent for Christ is coming soon.
