Psalms 92:12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
Praise God. The palm tree is a very useful tree, no part of it is ever wasteful.
A cedar is a tree that has a pleasant fragrant and the timber is durable. Cedar leaves and bark are used as medicine plants. That means every part of the cedar is useful.
The scripture equates the righteous as a palm tree and cedar because the righteous is useful to the Lord in all season.
The righteous is planted in the house of the Lord and the flourish in the court of the Lord (Psalms 92:13)
The scripture also says that even in old age the righteous bears fruits (Psalms 92:14)
We are expected to be productive and useful to the Lord, the bible says anyone that is not yielding will be cut off and put in the fire.
