Sacrifice

Luke 19:5 When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name. “Zacchaeus!” he said. “Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today.

Praise God.

Jesus entered Jericho and made his way through the town, There was a man there named Zacchaeus. He was the chief tax collector in the region, and he had become very rich, there you could see and sense how the chief tax collectors are rich but his riches did not add to his height, like I hear people say money is everything, but the truth is  “money is not everything money has it limits.

As rich and famous Zacchaeus was he could not stand among tall being, if he does that means he can not see what is happening at his front but can hear and guess.

And that is the life most Christians live, they can’t see what is ahead of them, so they guess, guessing is not always accurate, the best way of life is to see and know. Zacchaeus wantex to see and know Jesus so he had to climb a sycamore-fig tree beside the road for him to be able to see and know Jesus.

Brethren what I want us to learn in this verse is "sacrifice", it is needed in this kingdom journey, if you want to see God in another level of His splendor.

For what Zacchaeus did by climbing a tree and stay there till Jesus pass was a simple act of sacrifice, also given back to those he fraud through the tax was an act of sacrifice, and on that very day Zacchaeus didn’t only see and know the Master he ate and sat with him also received salvation. Luke 19:5-9.

Note:- if anyone tell you that sacrificing for the kingdom is not necessary that Christ has paid it all, so you don’t need to sacrifice, I will simply ask you Sir/Ma to read your scripture again from Matthew-Revelation to see the sacrifice the disciples went through for you and I, to hear this Good News of Christ.

Finally beware of false prophets and teachers of the gospel, for their God is their belly. Philippians 3:18:19. Beloved sacrifice everything for God’s kingdom for its worth it.
