Matthew 13:3 He told many stories in the form of parables, such as this one:“Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seeds.
Praise God. Brethren the parable of a farmer who went to plant he scattered seeds across his field, some seeds fell on a footpath, others fell on a shallow soil, other fell among thorns, while other seeds fell on fertile soil, Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.
If I was there I would have been as confused as many that were there, and for those that would have figure out what it means would have concluded the seeds that fell on the footpath, shallow soil and among thorns didn’t have a good soil like that which fell on a fertile soil, that was accurate but not deeply explained, so there would have been some doubt and murmuring.
To understand deeply when it comes to some dimensions you need the help of the Holy Spirit to open your heart of understanding if not you won’t understand.
To understand that parable I really appreciate His disciple for asking Him that question because I believe they were also confused. Then Jesus Christ began to explain in Matthew 13:18-23 Now listen to the explanation of the parable about the farmer planting seeds. The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don’t understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed that was planted in their hearts.
The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing in God’s word.
The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced. The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted.
Beloved which category do you belong, if the Master or Farmer comes today what will he find you with, thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted or nothing.
We need to figure this out because the time is against us.
I pray we all will be complimented well at the return of the Master in Jesus Christ Name.
