Defend The Oppressed

Nehemiah 5:19 Remember, O my God, all that I have done for these people, and bless me for it.

Praise God. I am blessed and happy reading about the lives of people in the scripture “Nehemiah” is one of them I love.

We often pray this prayer “Lord remember me and bless me” on what ground do you stand on, that you want the Lord to bless you.

For God to bless you, so you can continue to oppress the helpless or to defend the oppressed?.

What can you say to the Lord, what good reasons? Why He should bless you?.

Beloved if you are doing good with your wealth, position please continue don’t allow anyone deceive you that you are a coward or you are wasting your time helping or interceding for the needy because tomorrow will tell, Revelation 22:12.

Nehemiah listened to the cry of his people, called for a meeting in order to lift up their burdens, he went forward to say “Nehemiah 5:10 I myself, as well as my brothers and my workers, have been lending the people money and grain, but now let us stop this business of charging interest. So to say Nehemiah repented from that evil act before asking others to, beloved before you persuade people to do good let it start from you.

For you the oppressor remember the Lord is looking at all your acts, you believe you are comfortable, powerful and nobody can fight you or bring you down, have you not read that the wages of sin/evil is death Romans 6:23a. Change from your evil ways. And to you the needy when the Lord set your free, be good to others continuously then you can make such prayer and be bless.
