Hebrews 5:4 And no one can become a high priest simply because he wants such an honor. He must be called by God for this work, just as Aaron was.
Praise God. The honor of being called Apostle, Bishop, Pastor, Daddy or Mummy G.O has made people to choose God’s work, (self made high priest). When Moses first confronted the Egyptian king about the Israelites, Aaron served as his brother's spokesman ("prophet") to Pharaoh. Part of the Law (Torah) that Moses received from God at Sinai granted Aaron the priesthood for himself and his male descendants, and he became the first High Priest of the Israelites.
Aaron didn’t choose himself.
In the same way, Christ did not take upon Himself the honour of being a Hgh priest. Instead, God said to Him: “You are my Son; today I have become your Father.”Psalms 2:7”.
I find out in this generation people chose themselves to become a high priest because they believe they came read and speak, some are wealthy so they build themselves a temple to gather people together turning themselves into a high priest.
Beloved it’s was not so from the beginning God Himself chooses the high priest by Himself through the exiting high priest (prophet) or through revelation.
In our generation people love honor because they lack submission, they prefer choosing themselves to do the work of the high priest, some send themselves to theological school just to become a self made high priest, brethren every one can not be chosen as a leader, if God has not called you, please humble yourself and serve under those He has chosen.
Note: By being a high priest doesn’t guarantee your a sit in heaven. I pray the Lord helps us all in Jesus Christ Name.
