Amos 1:6 This is what the Lord says:
“The people of Gaza have sinned again and again, and I will not let them go unpunished!
They sent whole villages into exile, selling them as slaves to Edom.
Praise God. God’s Judgment will always prevail (come to pass), this was His judgement on Israel’s Neighbors.
The people of Damascus sinned again and again, by beating down God’s people in Gilead as grain is threshed with iron sledges.
The people of Gaza did theirs by sending the whole villages into exile, selling them as slaves to Edom.
Also the people of Tyre broke their treaty (a formally concluded and ratified agreement between states) of brotherhood with Israel,
selling the whole villages as slaves to Edom.
The Edomite went wild against the Israelites, they chased down their relatives, the Israelites, with swords, showing them no mercy.
In their rage, they slashed them continually
and were unrelenting in their anger.
Beloved all these the Lord saw and kept quiet, waiting for His time to judge, this is the reason you and I should not bother ourselves on how our neighbors or relatives treat us because the day of the Lord’s judgement shall come and no one will escape it.
Let us not pay evil back with evil, rather let’s be wise and remain gentle.
God bless and strengthen us as we continue to run the race before us.
