Galatians 2:11 But when Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him to his face, for what he did was very wrong.
Praise God. Acts of the Apostles 11:19-21 says "Meanwhile, the believers who had been scattered during the persecution after Stephen’s death traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch of Syria. They preached the word of God, but only to Jews.
However, some of the believers who went to Antioch from Cyprus and Cyrene began preaching to the Gentiles about the Lord Jesus.
The power of the Lord was with them, and a large number of these Gentiles believed and turned to the Lord".
Also 1 Corinthians 7:18 "For instance, a man who was circumcised before he became a believer should not try to reverse it. And the man who was uncircumcised when he became a believer should not be circumcised now".
Sometimes we discriminate, tribalism and racism is the talk of the day.
Peter as an apostle of Christ made a mistake but at first he saw God’s love aboard, that has no discrimination, seeing the uncircumcised Gentiles to be equal as the circumcised Jews, knowing very well that the death of Christ was not only for the circumcised ones, Christ dead for the uncircumcised, unsaved ones too.
As children of God, we are expected to love one another no matter the tribe or race.
Peter's fault came to play boldly when the friends of James came visiting, Peter refused to eat with the Gentiles, obeying the Jewish law because he was afraid of the criticism, knowing who those people were, how they hanged on and never joked with the law.
The Bible made us to know that, the act/hypocrisy of Apostle Peter resulted, to other Jewish believers followed his hypocrisy, and even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy. “Galatians 2:13"
Let’s live and work with Christ.
1 Corinthians 7:19 For it makes no difference whether or not a man has been circumcised. The important thing is to keep God’s commandments.
G❤️❤️D M❤️M❤️RNING And Happy New Week. Shalom.
