Voice of Victory

Nehemiah 5:9 Then I pressed further, “What you are doing is not right! Should you not walk in the fear of our God in order to avoid being mocked by enemy nations?.

Praise God. Nehemiah defended the oppressed.

There was a time when of the men and their wives raised a cry of protest against their fellow Jews, when Nehemiah heard all their complaints he called to the attention of their oppressors (the wealthy Jews) in a public meeting, At the meeting he said to them, “We are doing all we can to redeem our Jewish relatives who have had to sell themselves to pagan foreigners, but you are selling them back into slavery again. How often must we redeem them?, He further by telling them what they are doing wasn’t right asking them to walk in the fear of God in order to avoid being mocked by enemy nations?.

We often prayer for our enemies not to mock us but the truth of them mocking us most times is because we have lost the fear of God in our gatherings and in our doings.

Isaiah 52:5 What is this?” asks the lord. “Why are my people enslaved again? Those who rule them shout in exultation. My name is blasphemed all day long.
