2 Kings 4:3 Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few.
Praise God. A widow came to Elisha and told him that creditors are coming to take her sons away from her.
2 Kings 4:2-3 says Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?” “Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.” Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few.
Beloved there are lessons to be learnt from these verses. You are limited by what you believe and what you settle for. The oil did not stop flowing until the jars finished. Elisha told the widow, "don't ask for just a few". If the widow did not believe and had faith in God, she would have not gone to get the jars at the first place. The more jars she brought the more oils she had. She was obedient. Sometimes the Lord speaks to us about our situations and ways to move out of it but we refuse to take the instructions or obey. Our disobedience and lack of faith has caused us a lot, beloved let’s try our best to change our attitude in this coming year.
Do whatever He says you will be free and bless.
SHALOM.
