Hebrews 12:10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but He for our profit, that we might be partakers of His Holiness.
Praise God. Sharing in the beauty and holiness of Christ is a process of time and patience.
Diligently enduring all His disciplines that brings refinement into your soul.
While we grow up from infants to youth, our earthly parents thought it’s good for them to chaste us, our teachers and our elders/leaders did the same because they want us to have a better life, which is good and profitable to us today, many that could not endure it (discipline) are regretting and are learning now in a most harder way.
Let’s think how helpful the chastisement we went through the hands of men has helped us, though some was for their selfish interest.
Beloved the discipline of Christ is not for His profit but for ours, that we might be partakers of His Holiness.
My brethren if you have been rejecting, neglecting or rebelling against God’s chastisement, ask Him for forgiveness today, if not, Hebrews 12:8 will be your potion.
Beloved flee from this danger. 2 Peter 1:3-8.
