Matthew 5:47-48 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Praise God. Most times we do things thinking they are right because we think it is a right decision but it is actually wrong. Many believers segregate a lot, they give to those that they can gain from, they greet those that greet them. No love.
They keep grudges against others.
Christ asked, what is the difference between these believers and pagans
.
We are to show love not for any selfish desire.
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
Matthew 5:43-45.
We sometimes say no one is perfect but Christ is telling you to be perfect as you Father in heaven.
