1 Kings 18:21 Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal is God, follow him.
Praise God. We keep on hearing preachers and teachers of the gospel given their congregation the sermon of Elijah and the prophets of Baal, how Elijah mocked the prophets of Baal, how the Lord responded to the prayer of Elijah speedily, this event happened many years back which as made many “christians” today to seriously cry out to God for the ruggedness mind/power He gave Elijah.
But brethren we are missing this one question Elijah asked the people when king Ahab gathered them all in Mount Carmel, “1 Kings 18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the scripture went further to say the people answered him not a word. Just like today in our generation were we have indecision, wavering between Holiness and worldliness. People are been stock between these Opinions.
Most people believe being worldly is just a way to relieve stress of holiness (don’t be too Holy) I laugh at that understanding, beloved God’s grace is not for understanding worldliness. His grace brings you into holiness and righteousness in Christ Jesus, Beware.
I present to you today, just as it was presented to them in the days of old in Deuteronomy 30:19 “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!.
