Respect

Ephesians 6:2 “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise.

Praise God. Brethren I know that we are all use to this scripture, even the unbelievers know this scripture very well.

This morning I would steak my pen on the word HONOR which also means  RESPECT, it is now a cursed word in our generation today.

Yes, for His Word says we are all equal in His sight doesn’t mean that there is no leader or caretaker in His sight. The world has made use of the word we are all equal in a wrong way that the rulers of this world have made laws (on equality) to cancel the word Honor or Respect and even we as the body of Christ we accept the laws.

I will be plain and direct to us all, the indecency, death and evil that has taken over the world today is as a result of lack of Respect to our parents and God.

Youth/teens everyday are becoming useless and dying  anyhow like flies because in our generation people don’t regard Respect as a key for long life.

I saw a teenager in the market (years ago) tell her mother with boldness that she will slap her if she doesn’t wait for her to take her time and get what she wants 😭, I was totally angry but found out that the law said she is right because she is equal with her mother. Have seen where a mother tries to correct her child but the child replied her mother angrily and left her sight, these same things do happens in the temple of God and I keep on asking myself how did we get to this point😔.

I remember in the 19's  when Respect was like an Honor.

Listen beloved we need to go back to Christ and learn from His ways, if not the blessings and long life that is attached to Respect as pronounced in the scripture will not be our potion (Ephesians 6:1-3).
